I am watching that nature show about the Americas with Tom Hanks. Good stuff. There were two stallions fighting for a herd of females and at my age s testosterone drops, I am able to see this for the folly it is
Split the herd, yeah half the action but also half the nagging. Yup intended. LOL

But more philosophically I think I found a hole in the whole herd animal dominate male bit. One male was aging the other not quite there. But their genetics will never be different than they were or are. There appears to be no way to select the genetically superior male for his entire adult life.
Can't Darwin do something about that so these guys can stop getting kicked in the head?
