A "bombogenesis," commonly known as a "bomb cyclone," pounded the Pacific Northwest earlier this week with destructive winds and torrential rain. At higher altitudes, heavy snow and strong winds unleashed blizzards. This once-in-a-decade storm caused widespread power outages across the Seattle metropolitan area, leaving electric vehicle owners in a panic.

At the peak of widespread outages, more than 600,000 customers across Washington State lost power due to the powerful storm; most outages were in King County and Snohomish County.

Praying for a fuel you can carry in a can... I guess some people have to learn the hard way. Just wait until its -30 F. and those cars become bricks even with usable charging stations.

It will never get that cold in Seattle area, but it is cold and clammy with high humidity thus heating is a full-time need in the fall into early spring, I used to live in nearby Redmond for a couple years and 6 months in North Seattle back in the early to mid 1980's that always required a good windbreaking jacket.

It is far smarter to use a true HYBRID design thus the big weakness of EV set up is accounted for.
