The team at Patriot Action is committed to a place used for thoughtful discussions and a one stop source of information to use in our daily lives. To that end, we will strive to do our best in keeping this a place for respectful civil discourse and information. We are not afraid to call things by their true names. We believe if you are unable to identify the issues you cannot discuss them rationally or fully. Our goal is to teach conservatives how to defend their positions with facts and thoughtful discussions.
Our Rules to Use This Site:
1. Patriot Action assumes no liability for anything posted by persons using this site. The poster is soley responsible for all content they post.
2. Fair Use laws are to be followed. This means you will provide a source link to the original publisher and/or give proper attribution. Posting clips or snippets are allowed, copy and pastes of full articles is prohibited.
3. Trolling and flaming are prohibited. Posts that are specifically designed, in our opinion, to create a hostile environment or are intended to stifle debate will be removed and the user warned. We here at Patriot Action pride ourselves in keeping the discourse at an adult level. Multiple infractions will result in privileges being taken away, thread banning, temporary suspensions, and outright removal from the forum.
a. "Drive by posting" otherwise known as "Hit and Run posting" is a form of trolling. A drive by posting is any posting, which has no thread value or is meant to disrupt the discussion. IF you cannot be civil in discoursed posting, don't do it.
4. Personal attacks are not tolerated. Discuss the topic.
5. Threats of violence against any user or staff member on this forum are not tolerated and will result in immediate termination of forum privileges.
6. Moderation Staff have the final say. If you disagree with any moderators' actions, do it in Private Messages (PM). Site administration can also be PM'ed. Any open discussion of moderation action is prohibited.
7. We use a progressive disciplinary process. However, depending on the actions of the person, we reserve the right to use appropriate levels of discipline and or removal from this forum, at our sole discretion.
8. Spamming the forum is prohibited. We do our best to remove spam accounts.
a. Pornography and other illicit/illegal acts will not be tolerated.
9. Multiple accounts are prohibited.
10. Revealing personal information, on any member, without written consent to do so, will result in removal from the forum.
11. Thread starts are to be clean. This means that any clip or snippet is accompanied by the source link and/or attribution. Also, you must have a personal comment apart from the provided information by the poster. This helps others to understand why and what you want to discuss in a topic.
a. Threads that are informational and posted by staff are exempted from needing an opening statement, as they are meant to be informational.
12. Usernames must be respectful. Any username that uses foul language or uses words meant to be a slight will be deleted. We are adults here and common respect is demanded. Do Not Use personal information or real names. This is a public forum and can be seen globally.
13. It is the user's responsibility to check the Terms of Service and understand them periodically, as these can change.
14. As no policy can cover every situation, we here at Patriot Action reserve the right to alter, change, or update the TOS and take other actions as we deem necessary to protect this forum, at our sole discretion and without notice.
